2-night package December 28-30, 2023

Our Review of the Othon Palace – we stayed here for pre-crusie last year before the Desire NYE Cruise.  We found the location IDEAL, the rooms were basic and tourist-grade, the spectacular view of Copacabana Beach made up for much of what was lacking in the room.  We were happy to find accommodations that allowed a 2 night stay and did not mandate we purchase rooms all the way through to January 1, which is a tradition on much of Copacabana Beach for New Years Eve time.

When we stayed at this hotel last year we found the enthusiasm on Copacabana Beach to be a bit noisy. This year we added high floor room block for guests willing to pay a little bit more for a quieter night.

Note: All Rates are total for two guests. We recommend a 2-night stay.

2-Night Package Itinerary

This is the basic outline. A final draft with times will be sent in a few weeks before travel.

Sugar Loaf Mountain – On your time schedule

This package contains 2 – Skip The Line Tickets for Sugar Loaf Mountain.   This is a relaxing self-guided experience.  Cable Cars take you to the top of these 2 peaks.  On top, you will have magnificent views, shopping and plenty of opportunities for drinks!  Sugar Loaf is just a short ($3-$5) Uber ride from our hotel.  Go for a little while or hang out and enjoy the sunset!    If you arrive early on Thursday, you can choose to go while you are waiting for rooms to be ready – this would also make a great sunset tour on Friday – Dec 29 – if there is not an official Desire Meet & Greet.

• We recommend using your Sugar Loaf Skip the Line Pass late afternoon for sunset and cocktails from this spectacular venue!
• Desire Cruise Meet & Greet (Optional $$)
  Typically we include the Desire Cruise Official Meet & Greet in our Pre-Cruise Package. Desire did not offer an official Meet & Greet in Rio last year.  We are not certain they will offer one for this cruise.  Because their party information is not available before we open sales for this package, it is not included in the cost. Guests are encouraged to purchase a ticket directly from Desire Cruises once they are available.
