Top of the World – Middle of Earth
I had the opportunity to hike to the summit of an active volcano in the Galapagos, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The climb took me through rugged terrain, passing by steaming fumaroles and bubbling mud pools, and it was challenging but so worth it as I reached the summit. The sense of accomplishment and the feeling of standing on an active volcano are indescribable! The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking as I took in the vast ocean, lush vegetation, and wildlife that surrounded me.
As I stood on the summit, I could feel the heat emanating from the volcano, and the sense of adventure and exhilaration that comes with being in such a unique and remote place was truly unforgettable. This experience gave me the opportunity to see the geological wonders of the islands and the natural beauty of the Galapagos in a way that’s not possible from a boat or a beach. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in the Galapagos.
Sea Lion Bubble Kiss:
One of my most unforgettable experiences in the Galapagos was snorkeling, as I had the opportunity to meet a young sea lion pup who played with us the entire time. The playful pup swam right up to my mask and blew bubbles, I was startled and delighted at the same time. He was so incredibly cute!. He continued to frolic in the water and jump over us, it was like having my own personal sea lion show. It was an experience that I will cherish forever and a highlight of my trip to the Galapagos.
Tasty Memories
On the Galapagos Charter, we loved the intimacy that developed between a smaller group. 24 couples was the perfect size!
Our favorite evening was a blindfolded journey through a sensual dessert tasting that was an exciting and unique way to heighten our senses.
The flavors and textures of the dessert were enhanced by the blindfold, and the way my wife shared those desserts made it a truly memorable experience. We were guided expertly through a variety of courses, and it was a truly delicious memory!

Fish Kiss & Equator Crossing
I had the opportunity to cross the equator on a Galapagos cruise, and it was an unforgettable experience. The excitement on board was palpable as we approached the invisible line that separates the northern and southern hemispheres. The cheer that erupted from the passengers as we crossed the equator was contagious, and everyone was smiling and laughing.
The traditional “equator crossing ceremony” was one of the highlights of the trip. It included silly rituals such as kissing a fish, drinking a shot of “equator water” (really just a mixture of various tropical juices), and being “baptized” with a bucket of water. Everyone was in hysterics, laughing and cheering as we participated in the traditions.
Crossing the equator in the Galapagos is an experience that brings people together in a fun and light-hearted way. I will never be a pollywog again, I’m a certified shellback. It was a moment that we all shared, and it was a memory that will be treasured for years to come. I highly recommend this experience to everyone who is curious to experience a cruise with Miss Lynn.
