What to do in Barcelona!
This guide is for you if you are getting to Barcelona a few days before the Bliss Spain Morocco Cruise (June 4-11, 2022)
NOTE! THERE IS A HUGE MUSIC FESTIVAL IN BARCELONA AT THE SAME TIME. HOTELS AND TOURS WILL SELL OUT! PLEASE PLAN TOURS WELL IN ADVANCE SO YOU DON’T MISS THE THINGS YOU MOST WANT TO DO!
I LOVE Barcelona. This city has a sensual vibe like no other. There are a number of ‘Must Do’ experiences in Barcelona. Most venues are ideal for small groups, but not so awesome for big groups. To help you find the right things to do, I’ve created a list of a few recommendations, that way friends can choose to be on tours with other friends who are sailing on the Bliss Spain Morocco Cruise!
Note: these tours are not exclusive to our group. BUT, if you all jump in and make reservations NOW they could be booked by all of our guests. Use the events section in our Secret Facebook Secret Group to pair up with new friends and finalize plans!
I’m recommending a few specific evening activities on Thursday, June 2 & Friday, June 3 – the two days before we board the ship. For the day times and earlier arrivals, I’m simply providing ideas that feel fun. Get on the Facebook group to find out what others want to do! Feel free to message me with questions. JUNE 3, 2022 – FRIDAY – THE NIGHT BEFORE THE CRUISE
- 6:00 pm Informal Bar Meet Up Hotel 1898 Roof Top Bar
- 7:30 pm -9:00 pm Ghosts & Legends Tour – [Gothic Quarter Walking Tour]
- 11:00 pm – Oops Club (Swing Club) Fridays are open to couples and singles. Right now there are no covid restrictions or reservations required. Wonder who else is going? Check out our private facebook group.

This is a great way to see the city if you are waiting for your room to be ready! - 9:30 am, 11:00 am or 2:15 Fast Track – Sagrada Familia Tour – ‘Skip the Line’ [Sagrada Tickets]
This is a larger group tour. – As of Feb 26 the tower sections of Sagrada Familia remains closed, so we are not recommending tours that include that feature, you might want to check closer to travel for this option.
A must see sight in Barcelona – Check the Facebook group to meet up with friends on thiese tour times. - 10:00 am – 2:00 pm La Boqueria Market and Cooking Class in Barcelona [Cooking Class]
If dining is a transcendal experience in Barcelona then the Boqueria Market is Barcelonas temple to all things food.
I’ve done this tour with a group before and it was fantastic. The kitchen studio is in a beautiful walk up over looking the Palaca Reial – and it’s just all-around fantastic. - 11:00 am – Skip the Line: Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia Guided Tour – [Park Guell & Sagrada Familia]
This tour group is limited to 12 guests and a much more intimate way to experience this must see sight in Barcelona – Check the Facebook group to meet up with friends on thiese tour times. - 11:00 am – 2:00 pm – Barcelona e-bike – Gaudi Highlights Tour [Bike Tour]
E-bikes are a spectacular way to cruise along the Passeig de Gracia taking in the sights and enjoying the breezy tour. Coordinate day and time on the FB group so you are going with friends.
- 8:00 pm – 10:30 pm Paella Experience with a Professional Chef + Bottomless Wine in Barcelona [Paella]

I’ve gotten a few calls that say, ‘that all sounds great, but what are YOU going to do?’ You asked for it!
We are planning 3 nights for our pre-cruise experience in Barcelona. Lynn will actually be in Barcelona from the Desire Lisbon Cruise and will be checking back into the Hotel 1898 on June 1-4, 2022 (Wednesday – Saturday) for the Bliss Spain Morocco Cruise sailing June 4 – 11, 2022.
