What to do in Barcelona!
Are you spending a few extra days in Barcelona after the Desire Lisbon Cruise that sails May 19-26, 2022?
I LOVE Barcelona. This city has a sensual vibe like no other. There are a number of ‘Must Do’ experiences in Barcelona. Most venues are ideal for small groups. To help you find the right things to do, I’ve created a list of a few recommendations, that way friends can choose to be on tours with other guests from the Desire Lisbon Cruise.
Note: these tours are not exclusive to our group. BUT, if you all jump in and make reservations NOW they could be booked by all of our guests. Use the events section in our Secret Facebook Secret Group to pair up with new friends and finalize plans!
I’m recommending more organized formats for our first day in Barcelona, Thursday, May 26. After that, I’m simply providing ideas that feel fun. 2 or 3 Days in Barcelona Recommended Activities – Itinerary
MAY 26, 2022 – THURSDAY RECOMMENDATIONS & IDEAS
- 9:00 am – Disembark Desire Cruise – Taxi to hotel. Lynn recommends Hotel 1898 but there are lots of awesome hotels in the area! If your rooms are not ready – Hotel will hold bags while you enjoy a tour:
- Hop On Hop Off Bus – 1-day or 2-day pass [Hop On Tickets]
- 2:15 Fast Track – Sagrada Familia Tour – ‘Skip the Line’ [Sagrada Tickets]
- 6:00 – 9:00 pm Barcelona Tapas and Wine Experience Small-Group Walking Tour [Tapas Wine Tickets]
- 9:00 – 10:30 Flamenco Show at Palau Dalmases [Choose the Tapas/Wine + Flamenco Show and they will reserve a seat for you! This portion is paid in cash at the show]
- Suite Afterparty at 1898 – Stay Tuned for time and location announced on Telegram.

Lynn & Ray’s Barcelona Plans:
I’ve gotten a few calls that say, ‘that all sounds great, but what are YOU going to do?’ You asked for it!
Our plan includes an extended stay in Barcelona. We disembark the Desire Lisbon Cruise on May 26-29 (Thursday – Sunday) For our ‘post cruise’ stay we are at the Hotel 1898. We are staying local in Barcelona and ramping back up for a Barcelona Pre-Cruise (June 1-4) for the Bliss Spain Morocco Cruise sailing June 4 – 11, 2022.

We haven’t finalized plans to decide between the Paella Dinner or Oops. (and they are two very different choices!)
